Earlier today, we found out the heartbreaking news that Bayley suffered an injury that will keep her out for approximately nine months, taking her out of her planned “I Quit” match against Bianca Belair for the SmackDown women’s championship at Money in the Bank on July 18, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas. On Friday Night SmackDown, Bayley cut a heel promo saying whoever they chose as her replacement wouldn’t be as good.
Sonya Deville said that after careful consideration, Belair simply wouldn’t be defending the title at Money in the Bank. Instead, she would put it on the line on next week’s episode of SmackDown, the first show back in front of fans on the road.

Carmella!
She had been scheduled for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match but because she was given the title shot, she was taken out and replaced by Liv Morgan, who has spent the last couple of weeks campaigning for a spot by defeating both Carmella and Zelina Vega.
There was no mention of the “I Quit” stipulation that had been set for Belair vs. Bayley, so we can assume it’s a straight up title match between Belair and Carmella next week.
See you then!
