Who has wrestled on the most consecutive pay-per-views as of June 2021?

12 unique performers competed in a match on the main card of Hell in a Cell 2021.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at which performers have currently wrestled on the most consecutive pay-per-view (PPV) events at the conclusion of June 2021. The only rules are that the superstar must have wrestled for more than zero seconds on the main card of the PPV (sorry, pre-show fans), and typical 24/7 title shenanigans will be ignored.

Here are the active streaks coming out of this pay-per-view:

  • 10 events - Drew McIntyre
  • 6 events - Bianca Belair
  • 3 events - Lashley, Cesaro, Ripley
  • 2 events - Flair, Bayley
  • 1 event - Rollins, Bliss, Baszler, Owens, Zayn

And here are the streaks that ended at Hell in a Cell:

  • 10 events - Roman Reigns
  • 3 events - Braun Strowman
  • 2 events - Priest, Miz, Asuka
  • 1 event - Dominik, Rey, Roode, Ziggler

It’s hard to think of another PPV main card in recent years that featured no more than 12 different wrestlers in matches. With such a small number of wrestlers competing at Hell in a Cell, the list of active streaks greater than one event is quite low.

There is a big gap between Drew McIntyre, Bianca Belair, and everyone else on the list. Payback 2020 is the only PPV that McIntyre has missed going back to his win over Brock Lesnar at empty warehouse WrestleMania 36. That Payback show took place one week after SummerSlam 2020, so it’s not a case where a full PPV cycle lapsed without McIntyre in the mix.

Drew hasn’t held the WWE championship for more than four months, but he’s been chasing it non-stop since he lost it and still being featured on every PPV. His chase will continue in the upcoming men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. It will be interesting to see how Drew fares when (or if) WWE ever moves him away from the championship storyline.

Roman Reigns’ streak of 10 events came to an end with WWE’s decision to move his Hell in a Cell match against Rey Mysterio off the PPV and onto SmackDown television. This is the first PPV that Reigns has not wrestled on since he won the Universal championship at Payback 2020.

What do you think about this list of active streaks, Cagesiders? Which wrestler is most likely to fall off the list at Money in the Bank?
