According to PWInsider, Sasha Banks will return to WWE television on the July 30 episode of SmackDown from Minneapolis.
Banks hasn’t wrestled since losing the SmackDown Women’s title to Bianca Belair in the main event of the first night of WrestleMania 37. She appeared in a brief backstage interview on the fallout show the Friday after (April 16), but hasn’t worked a show since.
Target Center, the venue for tonight’s show, lists Banks as facing Belair in the card on their website. She is not among the “Featured Superstars” on WWE.com’s ticket page. For a time, WWE had listed Sasha among the wrestlers who would work their first dates back on the road on Money in the Bank weekend, but “card subject to change” proved to be the case there.
Some fans have speculated she might be off filming Disney+ Star Wars shows, reprising her role as Koska Reeves in either the upcoming season of The Mandalorian or one of its spin-offs, that’s never been confirmed.
Whatever she’s been doing, it sounds like she’ll rejoin a growing SmackDown Women’s division very soon.
