WWE re-works the card for Raw

The July 5 show now includes MVP’s return to the ring, and a ‘medical update’ on Charlotte Flair.

Coming out of last Monday’s Raw, WWE booked an Xavier Woods vs. Bobby Lashley rematch for the July 5 edition of the show.

That already figured to advance the Kofi Kingston WWE title chase story, and it definitely will now that it’s a tag match. Kofi teaming with his New Day brother isn’t the biggest news from the re-booking, though. Lashley’s partner will be MVP, who hasn’t wrestled since injuring his knee back in February.

If not this exact change, MVP’s return was foreshadowed on June 28 when Kingston accused him of using the knee injury as an excuse, and put him down with Trouble In Paradise.

Two other segments announced for Monday are pretty standard fare - a Ricochet/John Morrison rematch, and a Miz TV segment featuring the member of the Raw men’s roster who’ve qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Less expected is “a medical update” on Charlotte Flair.

Rhea Ripley chop blocked Flair after the trios match they took part in last Monday, and The Queen did sell her left knee a bit after the babyface (?) Raw Women’s champion’s extra-curricular attack. This is probably a way to delay the inevitable Charlotte/Rhea rematch, but we’ll see.

He’s the updated card for a holiday edition of Raw:

- New Day vs. Bobby Lashley & MVP

- Miz TV with Drew McIntyre, Riddle, Ricochet & John Morrison

- Ricochet vs. John Morrison

- A medical update from Charlotte Flair
