It seems Randy Orton’s trip to the “disabled/inactive list” will be ending soon.
The report that said WWE considered Orton inactive mentioned that the company was hopeful he’d be back for the Aug. 2 Raw. Promoting him for that show isn’t a guarantee he’s returning - card subject to change and all that - but it is an indication they’re pretty confident they’ll have The Viper on hand in Chicago next Monday.
Allstate Arena, the venue hosting the upcoming episode of Raw, has Orton, Drew McIntyre & Riddle vs. Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles & Omos as the top attraction. Sounds suspiciously like a dark match, but it’s still something they’re using to move tickets with less than a week to the show.
He also appears on WWE.com’s ticket page for the event, along with Goldberg, Lashley, McIntyre, Riddle, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley & Kofi Kingston.
Orton’s been off television for the last five weeks. If he is indeed back next week, we know one Bro who will be extremely pleased.
