There were reports for weeks now that current NXT Champion Karrion Kross was working dark matches during WWE TV tapings. The powers that be on the main roster apparently saw enough to pull the trigger on calling him up, as he made his debut on Monday Night Raw during this week’s episode.
It’s worth noting he both had the NXT championship around his waist for said debut and didn’t have his girlfriend, Scarlett Bordeaux with him. We’ll see what comes of the former when he appears on NXT TV tomorrow night and we’ll have to wait and see on the latter.
As for his Raw debut, it wasn’t a surprise. WWE simply announced it early in the evening, then he made a regular entrance later before wrestling Jeff Hardy — who finally got his old “No More Words” theme back — in a singles match.
Kross looked pretty good in said match, until the end when, even after avoiding Hardy’s Swanton Bomb, he got powerbombed and rolled up for the pinfall loss. Sure, Jeff used the ropes for leverage during the pin, but the referee didn’t see it!
“Jeff Hardy just made the biggest mistake of his life,” Kross said in an interview in the ring after.
That was Kross’s first loss in WWE.
