Money in the Bank ended with John Cena having made his return to WWE, his first appearance for the company dating back to WrestleMania 36 in April 2020. He confronted Roman Reigns, who is Universal champion on Friday Night SmackDown, and reports indicate that’s the match we’re getting at SummerSlam.
We’ll see him before SmackDown, however, as he revealed he’ll be on Monday Night Raw this week to let us know what his intentions are:
“You can’t see me... you can see me! Money in the Bank shocked the world with so many surprises. So many of the WWE Universe have a litany of questions — who? What? When? Where? Why? ... Well, I’m not going to make you wait for answers. I am kicking off Monday Night Raw to tell you my motivation and you’re not going to want to miss it. Oh, by the way if you’re in the Dallas area, get your butt to Monday Night Raw to see it live!”
Viewership for Raw hasn’t been the greatest but fans will be back for this week’s show and Cena’s appearance to go along with Money in the Bank fallout should lead to a sharp increase.
See you then!
