John Cena returns at Money in the Bank, steps to Roman Reigns

We’d been prepped for big surprises and returns as WWE hit the road for the first time in 70 weeks. One of the biggest happened to close their second show in front of a packed house, Sun. July 18’s Money in the Bank in Fort Worth.

John Cena is back.

It happened after the Universal title main event that saw Roman Reigns retain his title in a battle with Edge. The champ called for the world to acknowledge him, and...

Cena charged the ring, stepped to Reigns, gave him the “You Can’t See Me Gesture”, and... that’s it for now.

Reports have been circulating for weeks that Reigns vs. Cena is the plan for SummerSlam next month in Las Vegas. The two man have used promotional interviews to add to a rivalry that WWE started in 2017 as Cena’s time as a full-timer was winding down, and the company was working to get establish Reigns as his successor atop the card.

The Tribal Chief has claimed the throne in the 16-time WWE World’s champ’s absence. Looks like we’ll get to see how they stack up now that Cena’s a Hollywood action star and Roman’s at the Head of the Table.

Excited?
