It’s time to let Omos show out

Raw Tag Team championship match

Three large men and one of the best to ever do it walk into a ring...

The Road to Money in the Bank

In early June, Erik & Ivar won a Battle Royal to become the #1 contenders for AJ Styles & Omos’ titles.

The rivalry wound through the build to Hell in a Cell and Money in the Bank. First, the two teams became supporting players in the WWE title feud for June’s PPV, and the Raiders ended up on the winning side with Drew McIntyre. Omos got payback for that by eliminating, and destroying, the Vikings when they were competing in another battle royal with implications for Sunday’s ladder match.

AJ was in the running for a ladder match spot, but couldn’t win one. He’s been losing a lot lately - including in the singles matches between these two teams on the go home edition of Raw last Monday. His partner on the other hand? Big Omos doesn’t lose.

Oh, forgot to mention there were lots of jokes about vikings not bathing. Probably not pertinent, but didn’t want you to think I was holding out on ya.

What’s at stake

The Raiders will need to find a way to neutralize Styles’ large friend if they hope to become two-time Raw Tag Team champions.

It’s unlikely they will. Omos has been very protected in his brief WWE career. What should be interesting to watch on Sunday is how much time the seven footer spends as the legal man, and what he does with it.

Without Big Show or Braun Strowman on the roster, Vince McMahon is in the market for a “giant”. Time to find out if Omos is that guy.
