Some curiously timed social media posts from the former IIconics

On April 15, WWE released 10 wrestlers. Included among that number were Peyton Royce (who now goes by Cassie Lee) and Billie Kay (Jessica McKay).

Today is July 14. Calendar-counting wrestling fans will note that means 90 days have passed since April 15. Unless you’re Malakai Black, 90 days is the standard amount of time wrestlers released from Raw or SmackDown have to wait until they can appear for or sign with another wrestling company.

That, and today being a Wednesday, the day AEW produces live episodes of Dynamite, would be enough to get some speculation going. But with the former IIconics posting things like this online...

Saying goodbye to Peyton Royce & The IIconics today. Harder than I expected ❤️ #WWE #foryou

If Lee’s TikTok music video farewell doesn’t display, you can find it here.

Does this mean we’ll see Cassie & Jessica on Fyter Fest from Austin? Not necessarily. Don’t tell anybody, but wrestlers will sometimes mislead their fans.

But a week after Black debuted his new name in a video that tied up his WWE career hours before he showed up Dynamite, there’s reason to wonder if this more than just some light working of the web.

Join us in our live blog at 8 pm ET and we’ll find out together!

UPDATE: They did not show up on Dynamite. But there’s always Slammiversary this weekend...
