WWE helps Logan Paul promote his fight with Floyd Mayweather

New, 18 comments

It’s been a hell of a year for Logan Paul, the YouTube star who has parlayed his success on that platform into lucrative gigs everywhere. That included an appearance at WrestleMania 37 in Tampa, where he was reportedly a delight to work with and gave fans exactly what they wanted when he took a Stunner from Kevin Owens.

His latest venture is an exhibition boxing match against all time great Floyd Mayweather. This is more money grab than legitimate contest — hell, it’s being held in Florida because they couldn’t run Las Vegas due to the Nevada State Athletic Commission refusing to allow it because of size (Mayweather officially weighed in at 155 pounds while Paul weighed in at 189 pounds) and experience (Mayweather is 50-0 as a professional, Paul is 0-1) discrepancies — but there’s genuine interest because, well, come on.

Everything is pro wrestling, after all.

Speaking of which, Paul joined The Bump for an interview to promote the match:

For what it’s worth, Paul put over how amazing it was to work with WWE and mentioned hoping to work together again in the future. Mayweather, of course, famously worked a match against Big Show at WrestleMania many years ago.

Hey, depending on the outcome of their match, which is scheduled for tomorrow night (Sun., June 6, 2021) in Miami, perhaps a rematch could take place in a WWE ring?
