Roman Reigns was the highlight of SmackDown this week

Roman Reigns is the best thing going in WWE today, and he shows us that each week on Friday Night SmackDown. This week, he continued trying to get The Usos on the same page with him and/or drive a wedge between Jimmy and Jey. He was so embarrassed by the way they lost to Dominik Mysterio in a tag team title match, he laid a savage beating on him to end the show, all while demanding a respect he wasn’t being given.

Reigns is great here not just because this character suits him so well but because he’s actively making everyone around him look better too. Jey Uso has long been just a tag team star who will give you good matches but not much else and he’s become one of the most legitimately compelling characters on the roster. That’s almost entirely due to Reigns setting him up for it.

Credit to Jey for delivering, of course, but this wouldn’t be happening without Roman. Watch and see for yourself.
