Roman Reigns has been awfully upset about Jimmy Uso going against his wishes in teaming up with his brother Jey. That remained true this week, where the duo were attempting to win the SmackDown tag team titles from Rey & Dominik Mysterio.
We ended up with two matches between the two teams on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown — one to open the evening, and one to close it.
The opener was a back-and-forth affair that looked like it could go either way but ended in controversy when Dominik scored a pinfall on Jimmy that wasn’t actually a pinfall because he got his shoulder up before the three count. The referee simply didn’t see it.
In response, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville booked a second match for later in the evening.
That match saw the Mysterios on their way to winning again when Reigns, who was livid that the Usos lost to “a child,” took it upon himself to put a stop to it:
That led right on into an extended beatdown that made Jimmy uncomfortable enough to walk away, asking his brother Jey to join him. Reigns did the same and Jey remained conflicted.
We inch ever closer to what’s looking increasingly like an inevitable breakup.
