Report: Former WWE talent set to debut for Impact Wrestling tonight

New, comments

According to PW Insider, Impact Wrestling has plans for a noteworthy debut on tonight’s (June 3) episode:

“Impact Wrestling sources have indicated that a former WWE talent will make his debut tonight in a vignette. We are told it’s a talent who ‘never really got a fair chance’ during his time in WWE.”

The clue that the talent in question never got a fair chance in WWE narrows the list of possibilities down to about 150 wrestlers or so, which isn’t super clarifying. We do know, however, that tonight’s debut will not include Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, or any of the other wrestlers who were released yesterday by WWE, because they are all under 90 day non-compete clauses.

I think the mystery man will end up being someone who never reached above jobber status on WWE’s main roster. Steve Cutler stands out as one such wrestler. He was released more than 90 days ago, and hey, he happens to be dating current Impact Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo.

If not Cutler, what about No Way Jose?

Those are just two wrestlers from of an endless sea of former WWE talent that might show up on Impact Wrestling tonight. But it’s also very possible that I should be aiming quite a bit higher. After all, Big Cass is thriving as W. Morrissey in Impact right now.

Let us know in the comments below which former WWE wrestler you hope and expect to see on Impact tonight.
