The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Money in the Bank show set to take place on Sun., July 18, 2021, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. This will be the first WWE PPV to take place back out on the road in front of paying fans.
We’re three weeks away from the show and the card looks like this:
- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge (Universal championship)
Edge made a surprise return on SmackDown this past week before demanding a title shot on Talking Smack. He was granted said shot.
- Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Kofi Kingston (WWE championship)
With Drew McIntyre no longer in the picture, that paved the way for Kingston to step up and take another shot at winning back the title he lost to Brock Lesnar years ago.
- Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair (Raw women’s championship)
This was booked in response to Ripley winning at Hell in a Cell via disqualification when she used a piece of table against Charlotte.
- Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match
Current participants: Ricochet, Riddle, John Morrison, Big E
- Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match
Current participants: Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Naomi, Asuka, Carmella
That’s the card as it stands now, with Bianca Belair vs. Bayley likely to be added at some point in the next couple weeks to wrap up that feud.
