Edge vs. Roman Reigns is booked for Money in the Bank 2021

New, comments

Last night’s (June 25) episode of SmackDown on FOX was capped off with the surprise return of Edge, who interrupted Roman Reigns’ announcement about the state of the Universal championship.

Edge came back to WWE with an unhinged look in his eye and that big, bushy beard. He was going to blast Roman’s skull with a con-chair-to, but Jimmy Uso saved the Tribal Chief.

Less than 24 hours later, a Universal championship match between Reigns and Edge has already been booked for Money in the Bank 2021, coming up on July 18, in Fort Worth, Texas. The match was made official on Talking Smack.

Seth Rollins wasn’t happy to hear the news considering his pleas to Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce that he should be next in line for a title match against Reigns. They instead opted to give the match to Edge, who feels this is the match that was always supposed to happen at WrestleMania 37.

That gives us the following card for Money in the Bank:

  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge (Universal championship match)
  • Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Kofi Kingston (WWE championship match)
  • Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match
  • Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match

How hyped are you to see Reigns and Edge go at it in the main event of Money in the Bank?
