After taking a couple months off following his loss to Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37, Edge made his return to WWE television on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
And he’s going after Reigns once again.
In the main event segment of the show, Paul Heyman ran through a list of everyone Reigns has disposed of in his latest run on top. It’s a lengthy list, and didn’t seem to leave any names big enough for him to bother with, so he was going to make some kind of announcement.
Before he ever got to it, Edge hit the ring to reestablish himself as a top contender.

Does this mean we’re getting Reigns vs. Edge at Money in the Bank in one of the first shows back in front of fans on July 18 in Fort Worth, Texas?
We’ll have to stay tuned for all that.
For now, though, Edge is back and the blue brand just got a bit more interesting.
