The Diamond Mine debuts, led by Roderick Strong

New, comments

“The Diamond Mine is open for business.”

That’s how this week’s episode of NXT TV went off the air, as a returning Roderick Strong stood over Kushida, who had just lost to Kyle O’Reilly in the main event of the show, alongside Tyler Rust, Hideki Suzuki, and Malcolm Bivens.

Teases for The Diamond Mine have been airing for weeks now, with no indication of what it was even going to be. I’m not sure a new stable is what NXT needs but it’s what NXT is getting. Strong seems to be the clear leader of said stable, this after he quit the promotion just two months ago following the breakup of the last stable he was a part of, Undisputed ERA.

Strong led the attack on Kushida, with the other two simply acting as added muscle and Bivens the mouthpiece.

We’ll see where this goes...
