Bobby Lashley knows how to get his dream match with Brock Lesnar

Rumor has it that WWE wants to promote the upcoming SummerSlam 2021 card on Aug. 21 as if it’s a WrestleMania level event. Brock Lesnar is one of the big names who would normally be booked for such an occasion, but it sounds like he’s not currently planned for the show.

Bobby Lashley has been asking for a match against Brock for years. Now that Lashley is the WWE champion, SummerSlam would be a great time for that dream match to finally come to fruition. At the moment, though, it doesn’t appear to be in the cards for the Almighty champion.

During an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Rick Ucchino, Lashley admitted that he doesn’t know why the match with Brock hasn’t happened yet:

“I don’t know that answer. I really don’t...maybe it’s not something that’s as important to him. Maybe...he’s already accomplished everything that he’s wanted to accomplish. Maybe it’s a lose-lose-situation for him. I don’t know. I don’t know what his reasoning is.”

However, Bob followed that up by outlining a very good plan for persuading Brock to face him:

“Maybe I just demolish the rest of the roster and then we just throw a bunch of cash at him and tell him I’ll throw my salary out there, and we’ll meet in the cage, and whoever wins, wins it all.”

Brock Lesnar is all about getting paid, so that’s probably the best way to make it happen. That is, if WWE has the budget for it given they are only achieving record profit levels.

When Damian Priest’s name was brought up as a potential challenger at SummerSlam, Lashley joked that he’d have no problem dealing with the Archer of Infamy:

“Oh, you want me to have a squash match at SummerSlam?”

If Brock Lesnar isn’t booked, do you think WWE will be able to find a suitable challenger for Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam?
