Nobody in WWE is pushed as hard as Roman Reigns is right now. Ever since Reigns returned to WWE as a heel last August, he’s put down every mid-card babyface thrown his way, as well as Edge and Daniel Bryan. The Tribal Chief is damn near unstoppable, which has led some fans to believe that WWE is protecting him for a future WrestleMania main event match against The Rock.
In the shorter term outlook, the rumor mill happens to be buzzing about Reigns vs. John Cena as the most likely main event match for SummerSlam 2021, coming up on Aug. 21. Cena fed into the speculation this week when stated that Reigns needed empty arenas to achieve his current level of dominance on WWE television.
Roman isn’t remotely intimidated by all this talk of The Rock or Cena potentially returning to WWE to challenge him. He told SportsNation that those two guys better stay out of his ring if they know what’s good for them:
“I get this a lot with Dwayne, and then John Cena as well...If I were these guys, I don’t know if I’d want to come back and deal with me. I’m a problem right now for everybody. So, if I were them, I would stay on set. I’d keep pumping out these streaming service movies. Don’t come to my ring, is what I would do.”
Those are fightin’ words right there.
Do you expect Cena and The Rock to heed Roman’s advice?
