This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured two segments setting up title matches for next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

First, The Usos defeated The Street Profits in one hell of a TV match, going nearly a half hour and tearing the ThunderDome down. Jimmy asked Adam Pearce for a shot at the SmackDown tag team titles for their efforts, and he was granted that wish.

Jey, meanwhile, is being played against his brother by Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who doesn’t like the way Jimmy is upsetting the established order. They’ll challenge Rey & Dominik Mysterio, who retained the titles after the latter basically won a handicap match against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode.

Next, Kevin Owens will be getting his crack at the Intercontinental championship after his match against Apollo Crews ended via disqualification when Commander Azeez got involved and hit him with the Nigerian Nail.

Owens asked Pearce for a match next week, and the WWE official granted as much while also banning Azeez from ringside.

See you next week!
