This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was centered around a Fatal 4-Way main event title match in which Apollo Crews put his Intercontinental championship on the line against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Big E. They were given the final 30 minutes of the show, and I’ll be damned if they didn’t deliver one hell of a TV match.
They continually pushed the idea that Crews could lose his strap without being directly involved in the decision, and there were multiple teases of that happening.
Of course, the fact that it was a Fatal 4-Way meant it was No Disqualification, which meant that Commander Azeez was free to get involved just as often as he pleased. That meant dragging Big E off Crews to save the title.
Then, a surprise.

Aleister Black, who has been teasing a return for weeks, showed up through a cloud of smoke, wearing contacts that made his eyes different colors, and promptly laid Big E out with the Black Mass. Crews took advantage and scored the pinfall to retain the Intercontinental championship.
How about that?
