WWE postpones international tour dates

The most surprising thing about this announcement from TEG Dainty, WWE’s promotional partner in the South Pacific, is that they hadn’t already postponed their 2021 Australia & New Zealand tour.

Besides the controlled environment at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, the company is just hoping to get back in front of fans in the United States by Aug. 22’s SummerSlam. Word is they’ll be back on the road in this country after that.

Seeing as the outright cancelled the NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin event that had been pencilled in for June, there was really no chance they’d head off an international tour around that same time.

Here’s the details from TEG Dainty:

TEG Dainty wish to advise that due to ongoing restrictions, WWE Live scheduled to take place in July 2021, has been postponed and will now take place on the following dates:

Spark Arena, Auckland NZ
Tickets for Saturday 31 July 2021 now valid for Thursday 04 August 2022

Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney NSW
Tickets for Friday 30 July 2021 now valid for Friday 5 August 2022

Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne VIC
Tickets for Thursday 29 July 2021 now valid for Saturday 6 August 2022

All tickets remain valid for the rescheduled dates.

If you are unable to attend the new show date listed above, please contact your point of purchase for a refund before Wednesday 9 June 2021.

Sorry Aussies & Kiwis. Here’s hoping everything will be safe for 2022.

And hey, maybe they’ll even find something for Murphy to do by then!
