After switching things up for last month’s two-night, pre-WrestleMania 37 TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, NXT is reportedly returning to their normal model for their next event show.
Fightful Select reports talent have been informed of plans for the next TakeOver will be held on Sun., June 13. They’ve also been told the show will use the “In Your House” theme NXT used last year for their post-’Mania event.
The June 7, 2020 TakeOver: In Your House was headlined by Io Shirai winning the NXT Women’s title from Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat where she pinned Rhea Ripley. That show took place at Full Sail Live; this year’s would be held in the WWE Performance Center’s Capitol Wrestling Center space.
When WWE used the In Your House brand for PPVs in the 1990s, there would be a subtitle such as “Buried Alive” or “Badd Blood”. No word yet on whether NXT will revive that tradition for their second TakeOver: In Your House.
It’s also difficult to predict a card for this year’s In Your House, even though we’re apparently only a month away. Numerous challengers are lined up for Karrion Kross’s NXT title, and Women’s champ Raquel González has a defense on this week’s show to get through before we can forecast her next opponent.
We’ll find out more tomorrow.
