NXT has put a bow around the first part of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando. The black-and-gold brand wrapped up the show tonight (Weds., April 7, 2020) with Raquel González one-arm powerbombing Io Shirai to end her 300+ day run as Women’s champion.
Was that the best match on the card?
The night kicked off with Zoey Stark upsetting Toni Storm, then the main card opened with Pete Dunne backing up his claim to being the best technical wrestler in the world with a win over Kushida. Bronson Reed fought off a crowd, and especially a ruthless Swerve Scott, to earn a shot at Johnny Gargano’s North American title tomorrow night. United Kingdom champion WALTER survived an injured hand to put down Tommaso Ciampa’s challenge, and MSK reached the mountain top to claim the vacant Tag titles.
