The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony will look a little different when it airs tonight (Tues., April 6, 2021) starting at 8 pm ET on Peacock in the U.S. and on WWE Network everywhere else. This year’s event will feature both the 2020 and 2021 class of inductees, as last year’s event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also air from the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Here’s the 2020 class:
- New World Order
- The Bella Twins
- The British bulldog
- Jushin “Thunder” Liger
- William Shatner
- Titus O’Neil
Here’s the 2021 class:
- Molly Holly
- Eric Bischoff
- The Great Khali
- Rob Van Dam
- Ozzy Osbourne
- Rich Hering
The show was already taped and the word is speeches have been severely cut down from past Hall of Fame ceremonies, likely to account for time and the setting. Either way, everyone is getting at least a few minutes.
Come on back here and hang out with your favorite Cagesiders while it’s all going down.
Enjoy the show!
JBL used his time to fake an apology for making anyone feel bad during his time as an active wrestler and call them snowflakes:
Very on brand for JBL.
You’re damn right they brought a Bulldog for Davey Boy Smith going in:
Jushin Liger was there via video conference:
The celebrity inductee for the 2020 class:
They introduced the Legacy Hall of Fame inductees:
- Ray Stevens
- Brickhouse Brown
- Gary Hart
- Baron Michele Leone
- Dr. Death Steve Williams
The Bella Twins got their moment:
What may end up standing out from the speech, rightfully so or not, is the fact that Nikki thanked “John” without ever using his last name. There will probably be far too much read into that but they did really well with the time they had.
Can’t think of anyone more deserving of an award than this man right here:
Never stop being you, Titus.
Chop it down with the edge of my hand:
What do you think he said right here?
Kevin Nash gave the best speech among the four, which isn’t surprising considering he was always a great promo. He seemed so heartfelt when he mentioned making personal appearances for fans to this day and seeing five-year-old kids wearing a nWo shirt and giving him the “too sweet” sign.
“I guess this nWo thing really is 4 lyfe.”
You’re damn right.
They ended the broadcast there before launching into part two, the induction of the 2021 class.
He truly was one of a kind:
I see no lies:
"There's only been two people who've had their head shaved at #WrestleMania. One was the most influential person to step foot in a wrestling ring, the other was @VinceMcMahon." - Molly Holly#WWEHOF pic.twitter.com/Kg3ehkdnd0— WWE on FOX (@WWEonFOX) April 7, 2021
Look how incredible The Great Khali looks!
Man doesn’t look like he’s aged one bit!
They announced the Legacy Hall of Fame inductees:
- Dick the Bruiser
- Pez Whatley
- Buzz Sawyer
- Ethel Johnson
- Paul Boesch
An old rival gets his due:
WWE actually used the Warrior Award for what Ultimate Warrior wanted:
Kane was the headliner and he got an AMAZING video package introducing him.
He gave the longest speech, touching on everything from his mom once bringing a sign to a show that said “I raised Kane” and how epic that was to shouting out Jim Ross and Jim Cornette to putting Undertaker over like Michael Jordan.
That does it for the Hall of Fame ceremony this year!
