Who has wrestled on the most consecutive pay-per-views as of March 2021?

WWE.com

16 unique performers competed in a match on the main card of Fastlane 2021.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at which performers have currently wrestled on the most consecutive pay-per-view (PPV) events at the conclusion of March 2021. The only rules are that the superstar must have wrestled for more than zero seconds on the main card of the PPV (sorry, pre-show fans), and typical 24/7 title shenanigans will be ignored.

Here are the active streaks coming out of this pay-per-view:

  • 8 events - Roman Reigns
  • 7 events - Drew McIntyre
  • 6 events - Sasha Banks
  • 5 events - Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler
  • 4 events - Randy Orton
  • 3 events - Belair, Bryan, Sheamus
  • 1 event - Big E, Crews, Strowman, Elias, Nakamura, Rollins, Bliss

And here are the streaks that ended at Fastlane:

  • 4 events - AJ Styles, Kevin Owens
  • 3 events - The Miz
  • 2 events - Riddle, Zayn, Morrison, Cesaro, Lashley, Corbin, Hardy
  • 1 event - Jey Uso, Kofi Kingston

The usual suspects (Reigns, McIntyre, Banks) have the longest active streaks. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler have also received plenty of television time on both Raw and SmackDown as the women’s tag team champions, resulting in consistent PPV matches for the duo.

Sometimes it’s more interesting to look at who is not getting booked on PPV. Bayley’s last such match was at Royal Rumble 2021. She missed both Elimination Chamber and Fastlane, and is currently not part of the 14 match lineup for the two nights (Apr. 10 & Apr. 11) of WrestleMania 37. Her last match of any kind took place back on Feb. 19. Bayley went from holding the SmackDown women’s championship for roughly a year to becoming an afterthought on the road to WrestleMania.

I also noticed that WWE couldn’t find a suitable challenger for the new WWE champion Bobby Lashley at Fastlane. With Keith Lee currently missing, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt preoccupied with attempting murder on each other, The Miz being a joke, Braun Strowman doing the job on television, and Drew McIntyre being saved for WrestleMania, the entire Raw upper card scene didn’t have anyone left for the champ to face. Instead of giving us the highly anticipated Lashley vs. SLAPJACK rematch, WWE instead opted to have Lashley sit this one out.

What do you think about this list of active streaks, Cagesiders? Which wrestler is most likely to fall off the list at Wrestlemania 37?
