During SmackDown last night (April 2), WWE announced two matches for Monday’s Raw - the final episode before WrestleMania 37 next weekend.
Stories about episodes being tweaked and re-written whole cloth the afternoon before the show are common, so that in and of itself is fairly unusual. It’s explained by the fact the ThunderDome move meant WWE had to tape both their ‘Mania go home episodes in advance this year.
A lot of folks wish Vince McMahon could tear up the script and rewrite the April 5 edition of Raw, though. Because both these matches spin out of the disappointing (at best) Hurt Business break-up angle...
Not only were Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin kicked out of Bobby Lashley’s recently dominant faction, former Cruiserweight & Raw Tag champ Alexander will now take a beating to remind us all how fierce Lashley is before he defends the WWE title against Drew McIntyre on Sat., April 10 in Tampa.
Either Cedric or his tag partner could have been used to “soften up” McIntyre in this spot, similar to how Jey Uso was used on the blue brand last night. Instead, that role will be played by King Corbin.

See you Monday for Lashley vs. Alexander and McIntyre vs. Corbin.
