Charlotte Flair’s 2021 has been a rollercoaster. She started out as one half of the Women’s tag team champions. Then she had to deal with Lacey Evans’ nasty secret with her father Ric. Shortly after that, her fiancé (Andrade) was released by WWE, she was medically suspended by WWE for being pregnant even though she wasn’t pregnant, and then Charlotte tested positive for COVID-19.
She missed WrestleMania 37, perhaps as a form of punishment, but returned the very next night on Raw. One week later, she was suspended in kayfabe for attacking WWE referees. TalkSport’s Alex McCarthy said that the real reason for her current suspension is related to dental work. This news was later confirmed by Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, who added that she’s “just having a complete makeover.” We likely won’t see Charlotte on television until that situation is resolved.
So what’s a Queen supposed to do with some time on her hands right now? Well, Charlotte offered some insight into her plans on Twitter:
What will I ever do while suspended... pic.twitter.com/GylJCB7pob— Charlotte Flair (@MsCharlotteWWE) April 21, 2021
Hey now! It turns out that being suspended isn’t such a bad thing after all.
