Charlotte Flair suspended by WWE

Angle alert! Angle alert!

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw went off the air with Charlotte Flair attacking the referee who just officiated her pinfall loss to Asuka in the night’s main event. This came after some interference from Rhea Ripley who was paying her back for last week.

She went after him once before being pulled off by other officials, then decided to attack him yet again. It marked the latest turn in her new, unapologetic character.

Naturally, WWE is following up with a storyline update.

On Raw Talk, WWE official Adam Pearce announced she has been suspended indefinitely and fined $100,000 for unprofessional conduct.

It’s at least possible that means she’ll be taking some additional time off but she just returned from an absence that included her missing WrestleMania 37. It seems more likely they’ll write her as the badass heel who doesn’t care about the rules and shows up anyway.

Stay tuned.
