Despite the fact he’s been sitting in catering since last October, Aleister Black was not among the talent WWE released yesterday (April 15).
Many figured Black would be. In addition to creative having nothing for him, his wife Thea “Zelina Vega”Trinidad was released for defying the company’s ban on engaging with third-party platforms, and we’ve heard rumors Vince McMahon doesn’t see anything in him.
But he made it through at least the first day of this year’s round of cuts, and there was an Instagram tease he posted back before WrestleMania 37. Then we heard a report WWE was working on plans to bring him back to television.

There have been a ton of rumors about Black, including some that said WWE just wanted to let personal issues surrounding Trinidad’s firing die down before re-introducing the former NXT champ on SmackDown with a “big dramatic debut”. It’s starting to look like that’s what’s happening.
