For the second straight year, WWE released a wave of superstars on April 15. This year’s cut list included Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Tucker, and several more names.
We’ve already covered Billie Kay’s classy response to the news of her release. Now here is how some of the other released wrestlers are reacting to the news.
First up is Mickie James, with a succinct expression of gratitude:
Grateful for the memories. Grateful for the locker room. Grateful for the fans. Grateful for these little keys to my golden handcuffs. You can never expected others vision of you to be big as your own dreams. Thank you @VinceMcMahon #AlwaysBlessedAndGrateful

Wesley Blake used even fewer words to convey his thoughts:
One door closes, another opens. Thank you to all who have help me along the way. Much love ❤️ pic.twitter.com/NjAdryd8C5

Samoa Joe bids you adieu, makes a reference to WWE’s infamous 90 day non-compete clause, and has a little fun with CM Punk:

Finally there is Tucker, who might be the chattiest of the group. He seems pretty excited to be free of WWE’s shackles, and hints that he has an interesting story coming in the future:

Tucker also makes a nod towards the 90 day non-compete clause, and expresses his love for Otis:
I’ll fight you bro.
