Roman Reigns’ display of dominance might cost him the Universal title

Roman Reigns’ Twitter

Sure, the path to the finish involved assistance from his Right Hand Man Jey Uso, and all of the other shortcuts Roman Reigns has taken to remain at the Head of the Table throughout his Universal title reign. But the Tribal Chief made sure the very end of his WrestleMania 37 defense last night (April 11) was as emphatic as possible.

Throwing an unresponsive Edge onto an already unconscious Daniel Bryan and covering them both for a three count made for an impressive ending to two nights at Raymond James Stadium, and a statement of dominance to anyone who might try to take his championship

But could it cost him the belt? This fan thinks so, and untitled authority figure Adam Pearce seems inclined to agree...

Pearce’s powers are ill-defined. He couldn’t unilaterally give people spot in the Royal Rumble, but he could change the main event of WrestleMania. [shrug emoji] We do know he’s no fan of Roman or his special counsel Paul Heyman though. The five time NWA Heavyweight champion might relish this opportunity to screw with the Head of the Table.

At the very least, I’d expect a Reigns/Edge match at WrestleMania Backlash next month.

We’ll see what we find out on Friday.
