NXT TakeOver is reportedly coming to WrestleMania week, and it might be a two night event

WWE has not officially announced that NXT TakeOver is joining the schedule for the week of WrestleMania 37 in April.

However, the web page for canceling your subscription to WWE Network provided some evidence that the next TakeOver event could be scheduled for Thurs., Apr 8, which leads right into the weekend of WrestleMania 37.

PW Insider has now confirmed that plan, with another interesting twist to the story:

“The next planned WWE NXT Takeover special on the WWE Network will be Thursday 4/8, the Thursday before Wrestlemania 37, PWInsider.com has confirmed. There has been talk of the show being the first-ever “two night” Takeover, with part one airing on WWE NXT TV on the USA Network on Wednesday 4/7 and then Part Two continuing the next night on the WWE Network, but with a month to go, that idea could change or evolve.”

Given that NXT’s weekly television show airs on Wednesday nights (though that might change soon), and Thursday is the best fit for a TakeOver card close to WrestleMania weekend, it makes sense to brand the next TakeOver as a two night event covering both of those evenings. We’ll see if that’s the path WWE chooses to take.
