Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin, who recently lost the Raw tag team titles to The New Day, were tasked with defeating Drew McIntyre in a 2-on-1 handicap match during last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. They came up short.
As a result, they were barred from ringside for McIntyre’s WWE championship match against Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 37 on night one on April 10, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This enraged the champ, who took out his frustrations on Raw this week in the form of, well, just straight up breaking up The Hurt Business.

Lashley attacked Alexander after Benjamin went at MVP. That led to Shelton tossing Bobby while Cedric bailed. Ultimately, the WWE champion grabbed the mic and declared The Hurt Business is “over.”
We’ll have to wait to see what this means for the Alexander/Benjamin tag team, considering they were champions not all that long ago.
