WrestleMania 37: Universal title match now a triple threat

@WWEonFOX

Surprise!

After Daniel Bryan forced Roman Reigns to tap out at Fastlane and Edge ruined it all by laying into both of them with a chair, leading to Reigns scoring a pin on Bryan after a fresh referee showed up, it seemed clear WWE was going to make a change to previous plans. Those previous plans called for Edge, who won the Royal Rumble to earn the right, to challenge Reigns for the Universal championship at WrestleMania 37 on Sun., April 11, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

That will still be the case, only Bryan will also be there.

Indeed, Adam Pearce announced on Friday Night SmackDown this week that the match will now be a triple threat.

Here’s the updated lineup:

Night one

Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE championship)
Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bianca Belair (SmackDown women’s championship)
The New Day (c) vs. AJ Styles & Omos (Raw tag team championship)
Shane McMahon vs. Braun Strowman
Bad Bunny vs. The Miz
Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins

Night two

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan (Universal championship)
Asuka (c) vs. Rhea Ripley (Raw women’s championship)
Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews (Intercontinental championship)
The Fiend vs. Randy Orton
Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
