Even though a spin-off series for his character is already in the works (and will keep him from WrestleMania 37), we still haven’t seen the movie John Cena’s version of Peacemaker comes from. In fact, we hadn’t even seen a trailer for James Gunn’s DCEU debut, The Suicide Squad.
But that changed today (Mar. 26). Holy ****, did that change today.
Don’t get too attached and hold onto your peace-loving pants. #TheSuicideSquad trailer is coming today! pic.twitter.com/HtuyGAYXwM

If you ever wanted to know what an R Rated Guardians of the Galaxy would be like, I think we’re in for a treat. I’d say Cena steals the show in this trailer - and he very nearly does, even with Idris Elba being awesome as Bloodsport, Margot Robbie’s always excellent Harley Quinn, and Joel Kinnaman’s entertainingly beleaguered Rick Flag. But there’s a walking, kind-of-talking, people eviscerating shark. And while I adore Ron Funches’ animated version on HBO Max’s Harley Quinn, who the hell is gonna complain about Sylvester Stallone as King Shark?
Anyway, headphones in if you’re at work or around the kids...
Our first trailer. Warning: gore & adult language & supervillains & adventure & heart. Can't wait to see it in a theater with all of you on August 6. #TheSuicideSquad pic.twitter.com/HdqlGVP0lB

Well, WWE won’t be playing that during SmackDown. It probably wouldn’t get past the Peacock censors, either.
But Warner Brothers has happily put it on the internet for us. Who knows why madmen do what they do?
