Danny Burch’s separated shoulder forced NXT General Manager William Regal to vacate the Tag titles. Later on in the Mar. 24 episode, Burch’s partner Oney Lorcan will try to make Karrion Kross pay for the suplex that cost them the belts. But before that, we learned of Mr. Regal’s plan to crown new champs.
It’ll take place on April 7’s night one of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on USA. It will feature the two teams that fought in the final of Dusty Classic, and a pair who recently beat the runners up.

MSK won the Dusty Cup, and the Tag title shot that came along with it. But Wes Lee’s broken hand forced them to wait before they could challenge Lorcan & Burch. In the meantime, they took out Grizzled Young Veterans for injuring Lee in story (in reality, he broke his hand in their finals match at TakeOver: Vengeance Day).
Legado Del Fantasma’s Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde defeated GYV’s Zack Gibson & James Drake on Mar. 10... thanks in part to a distraction from Lee & his partner Nash Carter.
Now, they’ll all fight to determine the new champs.
Sound like a plan?
