Busy morning for WWE Hall of Fame news, as just after word broke about The Great Khali’s induction, we learned of another member of the Class of 2021.
This one came via The Bump, and continued the new (and very cool) model of having a friend and peer break the news to the honoree. In this case it was Undertaker telling his Brother of Destruction that he’s going to be a Hall of Famer.
Congratulations Kane!

While reaction to the Khali news is mixed, there’s no questioning Kane’s credentials - even if he spent long stretches of his career in the same comedy big man role Khali did.
A two-time WWE World champion, two-time Intercontinental champ, 12 Tag title runs, Money in the Bank winner, and an unforgettable character who proved to be adaptable to just about any story the company wanted him to be a part of.
And there were A LOT of those over Kane (real name Glenn Jacobs) 25+ years with WWE. Some great, and some not-so-great. From his fiery origin as Taker’s burnt brother to Katie Vick to Team Hell No to Corporate Kane, the Devil’s Favorite Demon has done it all. And that’s without even getting into Dr. Isacc Yankem or Fake Diesel.
Now, Jacobs is extremely part-time with the company as he’s entered politics, having recently announced he’ll seek a second term as Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.
The campaign materials can now say “WWE Hall of Famer, Class of 2021”.
Kane, Khali, and the rest of the 2020 & 2021 classes will be honored at a ceremony airing Tues., April 6 on Peacock.
