Last night (Mar. 21), we learned that WWE would honor Andrade’s request to be released from his contract. This morning, he tweeted for the first time since the news broke...
I want to thank @TripleH , @HeymanHustle and @RealKingRegal for all these years and great support that they gave me all these years also to the fans who were always supporting me, a big hug to all the talent and workers who always behaved kindly to me.

The thank yous to Triple H & William Regal make sense. After a bit of a feeling out period after his debut, Andrade’s greatest success in WWE came on the brand they help run. He enjoyed not only an NXT title run, but also a chance to show what he could do in the ring - including in what’s probably one of the best matches in black-and-gold brand history, against Johnny Gargano at TakeOver: Philadelphia in 2018.
Shouting out Paul Heyman also jibes with what we heard from the rumor mill about the former Raw Executive Director being one of his biggest advocates (pun semi-intended) on the main roster. Read into the lack of a Vince McMahon or Bruce Prichard mention what you will...
And speaking of reading into things, Andrade also tweeted this:
Happy live, happy wife!!! Y no estoy triste!! Súper feliz. pic.twitter.com/RPVLoCNoLx

At least Vince will be happy to hear that Charlotte Flair is now happy because her fiancé is not only not sad, but super happy.
