WWE Fastlane 2021 results: A charred Fiend returns to help Alexa Bliss pin Randy Orton

WWE’s Twitter

Randy Orton set The Fiend on fire at the last PPV of 2020. After months of being tormented by Bray Wyatt’s friend Alexa Bliss, when WWE booked Orton and Bliss in a match at the last PPV before WrestleMania 37, many of us expected Wyatt to return.

And they were not disappointed at Fastlane on Mar. 21.

It started with what’s been a staple of this program... Randy vomiting up black goo.

Shortly after Bliss entered, the voodoo continued. Alexa conjured a wall of fire to keep the Viper from charging her at the bell...

...and when he stalked her around the ring, a production rig of lights fell between them.

This was all a delay tactic for the big reveal. After blowing a flashbang in Randy’s face, a brunt hand broke through the ring and grabbed at his foot. The Fiend’s entire charred person followed, and a Sister Abigail later, Bliss sat astride Orton for a pinfall victory.

Probably not much here to change anyone’s mind about the program, but at least we’re on the road to its likely conclusion at ‘Mania.
