It looks like WWE is going back to Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens may have been playing up his concern about missing the WrestleMania 37 card recently but there’s never really been any danger of that, considering the show will take place over two nights on Sat., April 10 and Sun., April 11, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

The question was always simply who he would be squaring off against. Having just come out of a months long feud with Universal Champion Roman Reigns, what could possibly be next for him?

The future, it seems, will resemble the past.

Owens recently reconnected with his old pal Sami Zayn, a man he shares a long and storied history with. This week on Friday Night SmackDown, that took the form of Owens trying to talk some sense into him that, actually, there is no conspiracy against Sami like he seems to believe. That led to Zayn pleading with him to watch his match against Baron Corbin and if nothing strange happened, he would drop the whole thing.

Zayn lost, of course, and then claimed conspiracy like he always does. Owens saw through the delusion, tried to reason with the madman, and paid the price for it:

You can almost hear the “fight forever” chants starting up in the distance.
