WWE championship match official for WrestleMania 37

WWE made clear Fastlane, which is coming up in just six days, would make no difference when it comes to who would challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE championship at WrestleMania 37 on April 10 & 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Right as this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw as going on the air, Tom Phillips announced that it will indeed be Drew McIntyre challenging Lashley for his title in one of the marquee matches on the grandest stage of them all.

McIntyre lost the title at Elimination Chamber when Lashley put the boots to him after he retained in an Elimination Chamber match, paving the way for The Miz to cash in the Money in the Bank contract to take the title for himself. He did so after working out an agreement with MVP to give Lashley the first crack at the crown.

Naturally, that resulted in Lashley destroying Miz to win his first WWE title.

And while Miz has been hanging around, it was always clear we were heading for McIntyre vs. Lashley. Now, it’s official.

• Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge (Universal championship)
• Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE championship)
• Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bianca Belair (SmackDown women’s championship)
