Paul Heyman is pretty fantastic in his role as Kayla Braxton’s Talking Smack co-host. Two big reasons are that he gets to use his oratory skills to help develop characters that don’t get a ton of television time, and to add layers to Roman Reigns’ Universal title feuds.
But he also gets to make reference to things he might not be able to get away with when working off a Vince McMahon script. And on the Mar. 13 edition of Talking Smack, he used that freedom to throw a pretty personal taunt at Reigns’ WrestleMania 37 challenger, Edge.
That taunt? That Christian’s AEW signing wasn’t due to the increased opportunities that come from working with Tony Khan, but because he was afraid Reigns would take him out to send a message to Edge.
Paul Heyman is simply a gem#TalkingSmack

“Your best friend in this world knew he was going to become Roman Reigns’ target just to get into your head. And what did he do? He ran away before Roman Reigns could target him. How many of you [air quotes] Christians need to convert before you realize it’s not smart to piss off Roman Reigns?”
Ice cold, Paul. Very good, but ice cold.
