Big E has been missing from WWE television for the past three weeks selling an injury at the hands of Apollo Crews, who has taken a turn to the bad side something fierce. The Intercontinental champion matched that energy with a damn good promo upon his return on Friday Night SmackDown this week:

That led to his trying to get Crews to come out to face him for the title, but when that didn’t happen he opted for an open challenge for it instead. Baron Corbin tried to answer the call but Sami Zayn managed to slip his way past him and take the opportunity for himself.
They actually put together a pretty damn good match but, of course, Big E was always going to retain his title and that’s exactly what he did.

No announcement was made of this writing but it wouldn’t be a surprise if these two wrestle for that title at Fastlane in just over one week.
