Ric Flair wanted to make it clear on Monday Night Raw this week that he is simply Lacey Evans’ manager and he is not, for those wondering, carrying on any kind of intimate relationship with her. That wasn’t clear prior to this, and is an important detail ... I guess.
Turns out he’s pretty damn good as a manager, considering he managed (heh) to get Evans a match agains this own daughter, Charlotte, with a shot at Asuka and the Raw women’s championship on the line. Then, he so enraged Charlotte during the match that she snapped and got herself disqualified, awarding Evans the win.
You know what that means.
Sure enough, WWE later announced that Evans will indeed challenge Asuka for the Raw women’s championship at the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., Feb. 21, 2021, at the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Yep.
Here’s the updated match card:
- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles vs. Sheamus vs. Miz (WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match)
- Asuka (c) vs. Lacey Evans (Raw women’s championship)
