R-Truth should have known better than to show up for a celebrity flag football game on ESPNews during Super Bowl weekend. It’s an especially bad idea to go on the beach for such a game, where running away from ninjas, jobbers, and former NFL players becomes even more difficult.
With that in mind, here’s a brief clip of Truth getting rolled up by former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie at halftime:
During halftime of Saturday’s Celebrity Flag Football Game on ESPNews, Heisman Trophy-winning professional quarterback @DougFlutie pinned @RonKillings to become the new #247Champion!!!! #AndNew #CelebSweat @CelebritySweat1 pic.twitter.com/2YqwNzFOHU— WWE (@WWE) February 6, 2021
WWE didn’t waste any time getting the word out about Truth’s poor luck:
It’s very possible that Truth let his guard down after the ordeal he experienced last weekend at Royal Rumble 2021, where he lost the 24/7 championship to Alicia Fox during the women’s Royal Rumble match, immediately won it back, lost it to Peter Rosenberg later in the evening, and then interrupted the Michael Kay Show the next day to take his baby back.
And now less than one week later, Truth is left empty-handed again, thanks to a Heisman Trophy winner.
Do you think this is the last time time that Truth will ever hold the 24/7 championship, or does he have about 250 or so more reigns left in him?
UPDATE: He has at least one more. He got his baby back!
