Seth Rollins “sacrificed” himself back at Survivor Series in November of last year, immediately disappearing from WWE following the show. In reality, he was taking time away to be with Becky Lynch for the birth of their first child together.
Congratulations to the happy family once again.
He was briefly advertised to return to Friday Night SmackDown on the first episode of 2021 but said advertising was quickly pulled and he remained on the sidelines. He finally did make his return as a surprise entrant in the men’s Royal Rumble match this past Sunday night, scoring three eliminations before being the second to last wrestler eliminated.
Now we know when he’ll make his return to SmackDown proper:

For those hoping to see a character change to something away from the “Messiah” that he’s been portraying for some time now, well, you’re going to have to keep right on hoping.
See you next week!
