Updated Dusty Classic brackets and TakeOver: Vengeance Day card

Next week will be a busy one for NXT, and they laid the groundwork for it on their Feb. 3 episode.

Three Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic matches gave us a better idea of what the finals of both the men’s and women’s tournaments will look like at TakeOver: Vengeance Day a week from Sunday.

First, Dakota Kai & Raquel González punched their ticket to the women’s final when González’s power proved to be greater than Kacy Catanzaro’s acrobatics.

The Big Texan & her Kiwi partner defeated the American Ninja Warrior legend & her Kayden Carter. They’ll now await the winner of next week’s Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae vs. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon semi-final.

In the final two men’s quarterfinal bouts, Legado Del Fantasma’s Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza bested Lucha House Party’s Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado. They’ll face MSK in one semi-final next Wednesday.

The other semi on Feb. 10 will pit Fight Pit foes Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher against Grizzled Young Veterans. Ciampa & Thatcher outlasted Undisputed ERA’s Adam Cole & Roderick Strong in a thrilling main event.

In addition to the Dusty finals and the NXT title match announced elsewhere on the show, a North American championship match was also booked for Feb. 14. The Women’s title Triple Threat was announced last week.

Here’s the updated card for TakeOver: Vengeance Day...

- Finn Bálor vs. Pete Dunne for the NXT championship

- Toni Storm vs. Io Shirai vs. Mercedes Martinez for the NXT Women’s title

- Johnny Gargano vs. Kushida for the North American championship

- Dakota Kai & Raquel González vs. the winner of Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell/Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart for the Women’s Dusty Cup

- The winner of MSK/Legado Del Fantasma vs. The winner of Timothy Thatcher & Tommaso Ciampa/Grizzled Young Veterans for the Men’s Dusty Cup

Sound like a good way to spend Valentine’s Day?
