When WWE announced an NXT TakeOver event for Feb. 14, most of us figured they’d go back to the well of old In Your House PPV names and call it the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.

But I guess “Massacre” isn’t PG, so instead of re-using that one-time Attitude Era moniker, we’re getting a remix of a Ruthless Aggression Era one they last used in 2011... TakeOver: Vengeance Day!

While not confirmed, Vengeance Day will almost certainly emanate from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando. The opening bell rings at 7 p.m. Eastern, with a pre-show likely for 30 minutes before that.
So far only one match is official for a week from Sunday - Io Shirai defending her NXT Women’s title in a Triple Threat against Mercedes Martinez & Toni Storm - but NXT champ Finn Bálor is scheduled to appear on this week’s episode and will likely make his plans clear. You can read our predictions for a five match Vengeance Day card here.
